Business name: distinctive, available, with the legal form

The business name identifies the undertaking in the register. It must be clearly distinguishable from names already entered and must not mislead as to the activity, size or form. The company limited by shares and the LLC add the legal form. The sole proprietorship is based on the owner's family name. Availability is checked in the central index of the commercial register before the deed is signed. A name free on a social network may be taken in the register. The canton of the registered office examines the entry.
